So I made it home in one piece. Which amazingly enough, considering I only lost one face mask as far as I can tell, is a miracle. All my gear made it back to Brooklyn and all the footage as well.
I spoke to Beth about my plans for the road and she agreed it was a very good idea. I unpacked, downloaded all the footage to my main drive so now we have triple redundancy. The tiny Mafer clamp and the sure mic for the iPhone showed up today. Both work as expected I just need to chop some more out of this phone case for he mic to sit flush and not fall out.
More gear coming tomorrow. When it does I will rearrange the lighting box for just lighting and grip. The sound will go back into it’s travel box also the batteries and charging station, they have their own box. The hard drives have their own case as well. This wasn’t feasible for the flights but working out of the car this will be optimal.
I can’t believe I am going back on the road in five days. It’s not enough time at home. I got to cook dinner with Phebes, I taught her how to make Baked Ziti. Wednesday I am teaching her how to make Linguini and Clam and then Thursday night wings.
Beth and I spoke to Mitch about the upcoming Pennsic - Light and it looks like Mitch and I will share my booth and not set up our camp at all except for our sleeping tents. I just reached out to Sara, they are not doing the event so I will need Magnus to send me the canvas in a box.
I also told Beth that when I get back I want to spend more time with her. I got a subscription to Discovery Plus and it has a bunch of stuff we like to watch together on it, so we will make time to do that.
Sleep has taken me and I feel the drool starting.
Off to bed.
