Well… We got into one documentary film festival so far and rejected by an odd New Jersey-centric Jewish film festival. I will not hear back from the other twelve I submitted to until early spring.
I never heard back from the distributer after two rounds of emails claiming he was was excited to watch it. I could feel the excitement dripping off him.
Moving on.
I got in touch with the distribution company that handled Rescue and Annie’s World (though we never finished that deal because we ran out of money and could not afford to pay for the deliverables.). They are interested in the film and unlike other companies they are a known quantity and have treated me well in the past. Hopefully we will have a deal in the next few days. Crossing my fingers.
The general response from all who have watched it is that it is very well done and an important film.
So there’s that…
